Benjamin Moore: Main Street Matters!

A little rain never stopped anyone!

A little rain never stopped anyone!

A few weeks ago, Ellicott City's Main Street held a closing celebration for the Main Street Matters campaign by Benjamin Moore. Historic Ellicott City Main Street was one of 20 contest winners across the U.S. and Canada (out of 840 total communities), that were repainted. There were 40 buildings on Main Street that received a fresh coat of paint, starting from Maryland Avenue to Old Columbia Pike. The "Welcome to Ellicott City" sign on the CSX railroad bridge and a railroad car at the B&O Museum were also repainted as well. A special thanks to Definition Painting Services, Inc. in Columbia, MD for painting our town!!

The crowd (and DJ) huddled under the tents and umbrellas. Several of the Main Street business owners and patrons of the Historic district came to celebrate despite the rain showers.
