News: JSR Associates Joins LEED

The Greening of Healthcare Materials

Jane Rohde, FIIDA, AIA, ACHA, NACARB of JSR Associates, Inc. has recently become a LEED accredited professional. LEED is the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system instituted by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

As an architect and interior designer, Jane has become knowledgeable about Green Building Standards that integrate with the creation of Healing Environments. The mindset for Healing Environments and Sustainability include Commitment, Communication, Cooperation, and Compassion. These four elements are necessary to have truly integrated design solutions that foster innovation.

In order for the designer to make educated decisions about how to determine appropriate product use, it is imperative that life cycle analysis and evidence-based research be utilized.

JSR Associates, Inc. has completed an accredited CEU program called "Greening of Healthcare Materials." This new program debuted in North and South Carolina to an overwhelmingly positive response.
