Yoga Center
JSR Associates, Inc. completed a feasibility study for a potential Yoga Center in Maryland. The goal of the space was to create a zen-like environment using a minimum amount of materials, while providing a spa-like environment. The entry is a transition zone from the chaotic outside world to the yoga center’s inner sanctum. This transition zone, complete with flowing water feature, subtle colors and curved walls has a calming affect on the students and reorients them as they move towards the yoga studios. Traditional office space is converted into the “diffusion” rooms through the utilization of tatami mats and low tables. The Yoga center aptly takes advantage of JSR’s design expertise in spa, wellness, and healthcare environments.
