Brooke Grove Foundation has beena repeat client for JSR Associates, Inc., since 2002. JSR provided the successful primary research through focus groups, compilation, coordination, and submission of Brooke Grove Foundation's Feasibility Study toThe Maryland Department of Aging to becomea certified CCRC.
Subsequently, JSR was engaged to complete interior design and senior living consulting for three of the four Meadows assisted living buildings, which include 16 residents each. Design work included reducing the scale of large open community spaces, while maintaining flexibility for larger functions, utilizing space planning, color, innovative thematic signage and artwork, and creating more transitional environments with appropriately dimensioned furniture and upholstery that provides an updated,marketable space, while incorporating the needs of staff and residents.
JSR has also completed architectural planning for one of the Woods cottage style assisted living buildings. Brooke Grove researched The Green House Project™ and reviewed the Silverados projects in California to evaluate staffing and future re-positioning.
JSR is continuing work on another Meadows Building, the historic Sharon Nursing Home, and expansion toa community building. Operational program meetings for the Sharon Nursing Home have taken place to start the design process for common space that focuses on caring of 48 Residents with severe dementia.
