Keswick Pines is a continuing care retirement
community (CCRC) located in Whiting, NJ. Since 2001,
JSR Associates, Inc., has been providing design services
for the campus and its residents.
The renovation of
the independent living dining room was based on
reducing scale and creating distinct
areas within the existing room parameters, through
the usage of bulkheads, height changes, and light
fixtures. The existing chairs and traditional candelabra
chandeliers were utilized, and the finishes, lighting,
window treatments, and artwork work was updated,
while maintaining the requested tradition feel
of the space.
The independent living corridors were renovated
on the first floor. The existing building provided
for low continuous corridors. JSR introduced better
lighting and features along the corridor to break
up the overwhelming length and improve the visibility
within the corridor.

The dining room has warmth
and the seniors have responded with enthusiasm
to the
finished space and enhanced dining experience. |
