Senior Living Consulting

JSR Consulting Services included establishing development teams to create innovative communities to serve seniors of all social and economic backgrounds. Services include development direction, project management, architectural and interior design services, feasibility focus groups, and procurement services.

JSR promotes the design of environments that support residents and staff. By establishing operational and organizational culture and resident focused care, first, the designed physical environments then supports the mission and care model for seniors to live as independently as possible for as long as possible.

This is a proposed retirement campus model for Boulder City, Nevada. It is designed to provide cost-effective living options, continuing care while aging in place, and related services to seniors. In cooperation with Boulder City Senior Housing Services, Inc., and the City of Boulder City, we are striving to accommodate an underserved demographic—Boulder City residents with an annual income of $25,000 to $50,000. The goal is to provide a minimum of four units with a sliding scale for incomes under $25,000.

The campus is to be integrated with the overall community of Boulder City, utilizing a Healthcare Case Management model to promote aging in place. This care model coordinates services in the home by using community-based resources. The Eden Alternative™ and The Green House Project™ model are being used in conjunction with healthcare case management to provide dementia care, respite care, end time care, and other skilled nursing needs in a group home setting.

Residents will be living with no more than nine other elders in one group home. The first phase will feature a 12,000 square-foot community building supporting 44 independent rental units, 44 cottage/town homes, and 20 skilled care units (10 units per group home).
