Jane Rohde sits on the GSA’s Green Building Advisory Committee (GBAC) and relevant task groups, including chairing the Health and Wellness task group in 2017 which included the creation of a crosswalk for certifications, codes, guidelines, and standards of health and wellness attributes tied to the built environment and the Federal Guiding Principles. Subsequently in 2018, Jane continued to work with GSA on the development of the electronically platformed Buildings and Health Module for the Sustainable Facilities Tool (SFTool) available at www.sftool.gov. In 2019, Jane participated in the Data Integrated Buildings Systems (DIBS) Task Group to develop recommendations in relationship to the interoperability of building and operational systems within buildings. The healthcare marketplace was deemed to be the furthest along in integration of systems and is advancing with the utilization of artificial intelligence (AR) and virtual reality (VR) that are demonstrating positive patient outcomes. Report and recommendations have been completed in September, 2019.
