From Asia, to the Middle East, to Africa, to Europe, and back to the United States, how do you evaluate sustainability not only for the physical building, but also for the care model, care population, staffing needs, and health and wellness education? This session will provide a dynamic discussion on sustainability and the lessons the rest of the world can teach the United States in sustainable planning of the future of health care. This session will enable attendees to:

  • Frame the right goals for successfully implementing sustainable design principles.
  • Recognize cultural aspects as part of the sustainable design process.
  • Discuss the importance of LCA and ROI.
  • Identify tools that can be valuable resources and references for the design team.
